- Robert C. "Pete" Vickers, 62, Windsor, died Sunday morning, September 19, 1999, at his home. He was born June 6, 1937 in Lowry City, the son of Hubert Cecil Vickers and Ada Mae (Logan) Vickers. On November 28, 1954, he married Dixie June Collins, who survives him. He was a self-employed carpenter and contractor, doing work and building many houses in the Windsor area. In addition to his wife, Mr. Vickers is survived by three sons, John Vickers, Portland, Texas, Brian Vickers, Windsor, and Darrell Vickers, Green Ridge; three daughters, Brenda Vivone, Windsor, Pam Foster, Liberty, and Michelle Vickers, Windsor; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Tommy E. Vickers, Long View, Washington, Donald H. Vickers, Windsor, Jack L. Vickers, Raytown, Kenneth A. Vickers, Calhoun; four sisters, Betty B. Hoover, Mary A. Kimbrell and Beverly S. Stirts, all of Windsor, Sandra K. Scott, Elkton, Kentucky, and 30 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. Burial in Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, Windsor Township, Henry County, MO (Daily Democrat, Clinton, MO, Sept. 20, 1999).
