- Conrad Kern resided in a the community around Crane Creek in Rowan Co., NC in the late 1700's. He owned about 800 acres between Salisbury and the Forks of the Yadkin. He was also a minister of the Brethren Church and an associate of Gaspar Roland and Elder James Hendricks.
Several of Conrad Kern's children (Abraham, Gabriel, Simeon) came to the Hinkston Creek Church at East Union in Bourbon County, Kentucky about 1800.
