|Obituary - Clifford Dean Hoffstatter, 49, of Nellie Route 1, was found dead in his car at 7:30 a.m. today, the victim of carbon monoxide poisoning.He was found by his brother, Leo Hoffstatter,
Hoffstatter had returned from work between 1 and 2 a.m. today, driven his car into the garage and fell asleep. Due to fumigating his residence by renters, he was unable to sleep in the hose.
Dr. L.D. Harbold of Warsaw, pronounced the death due to carbon monoxide poisoning. The garage door was open. The lack of a tail pipe on Hoffstatter's car was seen as the reason of his death.
The deceased was born Jan 4, 1903 in Jefferson twp., a son of the late George and Nellie Bailey Hoffstatter. He never married, and is survived by three brothers, Leo and William both of Nellie Route 1 and Clyde Hoffstatter of Millersburg; one sister, Mrs. Mina Wilhelm of Walhonding Route. One brother is deceased.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Urey Funeral Home Warsaw. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery.
