Notes:
From The Descendants of Lewis Huffstutter, by Joel Ralph Huffstutter. Re: Lewis and Nancy --"He was buried in the cemetery at Oak Ridge by the side of Nancy on the very land they first obtained after coming to this new territory...Through the years, long since gone by many, many descendants have been laid to rest on this plot of ground, more often called "The Huffstutter Cemetery". Here, many miles from the heavily traveled paved roads of Obion County, nestled in the hills and vales and underneath evergreen trees, eight generations of Huffstutters sleep in peace awaiting that glorious day when Gabriel shall blow his horn....

Oak Ridge Cemetery(Elbridge, TN): Perry Huffstutter, youngest son of Lewis and Nancy, commemorative marker. Perry is not buried here; his actual gravesite is unknown. He died from wounds suffered during the battle of Perryville, KY in Oct. 1862 and is buried along the route of the Confederate retreat.I had this marker made and put down between his parents so he would not be forgotten.-RFH
