Ray and Dan Huffstutter's interest in the family cemetery led to the organization of a family association. This association collected funds to repair the fencing and clean the cemetery. Physical labor was contributed by Sterling and Mary Ann Evans along with their children Becky and Clinton and Jimmy Wood. Mary Ann's family reside on the old Huffstutter farm while Jimmy lives across the road on the Old Baxter farm.

Huffstutter Cemetery, John Franklin Sparks, also known as "Franklin". He was the son of Jonas Sparks and Elizabeth Knox. He married Cynthia Bradshaw. What is signified by a sheaf of wheat on this tombstone? The divine harvest. A sheaf of wheat was often used for those who died at an old age. A stalk of wheat signified the resurrection or the body of Christ.

Huffstutter Cemetery, Ulrich Huffstutter, small field stone marker with hand carved lettering barely visible to me on the day I visited the cemetery. However, Ray has better eyes than me and says: "I saw the stylized upper half of a U and complete H in the illumination of the setting sun. I drew a picture of it in my notebook. I am convinced we have Ulrich."
